Veena Soni

Mrs Soni works for Gateshead Council as head of the Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service. She has many years’ experience in the teaching profession and has taught young people from primary to university level. She has worked with Government Offices for the North East (GONE) as an advisor with the drugs prevention team and as assistant head of the community development and cohesion team….

Mrs Soni is assistant head of community development and cohesion at Government Offices North East. She has 14 years’ experience in the teaching profession and has taught extensively the primary school curriculum at all levels. She has also been a tutor and lecturer at the University of Newcastle and the University of Northumbria and has worked throughout her professional career to advise schools and local government on issues of diversity and community cohesion.
