Lieutenant General Robin Brims

Lt Gen Brims joined the British Army in 1970 and has since spent an illustrious career serving across the world. He commanded 3^rd Battalion The Light Infantry in Germany and Belfast as well as 24 Airmobile Brigade in Bosnia in 1995. In 2003 as General Officer Commanding 1 (UK) Armoured Division he led the British ground forces in the invasion of Iraq. He was Vice Chancellor of the University of Kurdistan-Hawler in northern Iraq before returning to his native North East.
