John P Lee
John was appointed as Chief Executive for Your Homes Newcastle (YHN) in January 2004 having been the Head of Housing Management for Newcastle City Council since 2000.
The success of YHN has allowed them to access an additional £348m in funding to carry out its Decent Homes Programme which is now nearing completion with a programme amounting to £84 m a year and 3 homes made decent an hour.
Prior to his current role John worked as a Senior Manager in a number of service areas for Newcastle City Council having started work as a Trainee Heath Inspector when he was 18 years old. In addition to the many committees and organisations that John is involved with in relation to YHNs role in the City he also has a wider community involvement and contribution to improvement through his roles on Norcare Board, Northumbria Coalition against Crime and East Durham Homes Improvement Board.
