Norcare Appoints New Chief Executive
Susan Bickerton has been appointed Chief Executive of Norcare, the North East's largest supported housing organisation.
Within this role Susan will be responsible for ensuring that Norcare continues to deliver a high quality level of service to the many vulnerable individuals that it supports each year and strengthen its relationship with key partners.
She will also be implementing a number of strategies to ensure that Norcare evolves and offers effective and innovative service solutions to its clients.
Before joining Norcare Susan spent six years at the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) where she was Executive Director for Northumberland, responsible for the development and positioning of the local LSC within the county. Prior to this role Susan was North East Regional Director for Learndirect.
Commenting on her new position Susan said: "In my last role I had a real sense of 'making a difference' and it was important to me that whatever I did next offered the same level of job satisfaction. The post of Chief Executive of Norcare offers a real opportunity to help improve the lives of so many vulnerable individuals and I'm confident that I bring with me a number of transferable skills."
"Norcare has a wonderful staff culture which I'm keen to uphold. I think my biggest challenge will be to identify ways of diversifying Norcare's current income streams to ensure the long-term success of the organisation," Susan continued.
Susan who lives in Northumberland is passionate about the North East and a strong advocate of the region.
