Norcare School Sports Day Enjoyed by All

Norcare's first school sports day for staff, associates and their families took place on Sunday 20th of August.

Although the weather on the day was slightly unpredictable a large amount of people still braved the elements and were well rewarded.

The day began with some outdoor events but people moved inside during a spell of rain to be greeted with a large selection of BBQ food, including organic burgers and sausages.

One of the events that did reach a conclusion was the egg spoon race with Andy Taws eventually being successful, seen here celebrating his win. Hats off to Andy who took part in every event most enthusiastically.

His victory was made all the more impressive as it came in spite of cheating from Nicola Carr, who attempted to carry her egg not once but twice, however on both occasions she was found out by host Mark Carton as shown below.  Nicola was eventually awarded a medal for "cheating and cheeky behaviour" and accepted it in the spirit of her role play throughout the day.

Other events included the sack race and gladiators, as well as there being a bouncy castle and giant table football that was extremely popular. Prizes for the events included I-Pods and DAB radios.

After the events the crowd were treated to some cream scones followed later in the evening with a buffet. Before taking part in a quiz and the day ended with a disco.
