Norcare Staff Awards 2006
Linda Stafford collected two awards at this years staff conference not only taking the "Incredible Colleague of the Year" award but also the coveted "Employee of the Year Award".
Other staff also gained awards, Jamie Blake was awarded "Idea of the Year" for his work in reducing electricity and gas costs. Dee Keane won the award for "Achiever of Year" following on from her "Employee of the Year" success last year.
Manager of the year award was given to Gillian Bewick as recognition for all her work in maintaining Team 3's success throughout a prolonged period of staff shortage, she was quick to pass the credit on to her team members once again underlining her manager of the year credentials. Dave Nelson and Simon Mason were both awarded "Going the Extra Mile" for their dedication and hard work often going far beyond the expectations of there role.
Volunteer of the Year was given to Julie Mohamed for her all round commitment dedication and flexibility when volunteering for Norcare. Unfortunately Julie was unable to be at the conference to collect her award and her video acceptance speech did not arrive on time therefore Nicola Crawford collected the award on her behalf.
The final award was presented to Bob Symington as recognition for his 15 years of loyal service to Norcare.
All the awards were presented by the Captain and Coach of the Newcastle Eagles basketball team, Fabulous Flournoy, whose speech was a hit with all attendee's as was his name.
