Third Sector Excellence Awards 2005

I am delighted to announce that once again we can celebrate winning a National Award.  Earlier this year Norcare placed submissions for two categories in the 'Third Sector Excellence Awards', namely 'Volunteer of the Year Award' and 'Business Strategy of the Year Award'.  We were notified that we had been successfully short-listed for the 'Volunteer of the Year Award' and duly took five staff down to London for the awards ceremony.  Jamie Davison who started as a Volunteer with Norcare in December 2003 was successfully short-listed to the final four from over a hundred applications and our thanks must go to him for his contribution to Norcare.

Much to our surprise the compere announced the short-listed candidates for the 'Business Strategy of the Year Award' who were household names, such as the National Stroke Society then announced that the winner of this section of excellence was 'NORCARE' so we proudly returned home with the award, to be found on display in reception.

As with the Top 100 Small Companies Award, this award would not have been possible without the dedication and support of every individual who works in Norcare, so you all deserve to feel proud to have contributed in part to this latest National Award we have been given.
