National Probation Service - Co.Durham

The Probation Service in County Durham works to protect the public and to help offenders reduce their re-offending. Many of Norcare's clients are refferred to us through the Probation Service

NECA aim to promote the prevention, recognition and treatment of problems related to the use of alcohol, drugs, related substances and gambling".

NEPACS

NEPACS is a voluntary, independent, community-based charity that supports offenders, ex-offenders and their families.

The NEPACS team of dedicated volunteers work to provide visitors' centres and childrens' play areas at prisons throughout the Northeast. They also organise special childrens' visits, young people's projects and caravan holidays for families of offenders, as well as staffing tea bars in visitors' rooms.

Nomad Housing Group, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was established in 1974. They are now one of the leading providers of affordable housing in the north of England, operating across eighteen different local authorities. They manage over 3,000 properties for single people, families, and the elderly.

Supporting People Team - Darlington

Supporting people is a national programme launched by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) in April 2002. It provides Housing Related Support that was previously funded by Housing Benefits, the Probation Service and the Housing Corporation.

The work of the Supporting people team links directly with the goals of Darlington's Community Strategy in particular 'A place for living safely and well'
