NORCARE can now receive public donations by text message.
The charity which supports homeless and vulnerable people has signed up to the scheme which allows the public to donate up to £10 at any one time.
The initiative has been set up by JustGiving and Vodafone and allows donations to be made free of charge with no commission.
Anyone who wants to donate simply has to text one of the Norcare codes to the number 70070 specifying the amount they want to donate. The money will then be taken off their bill as if they’d made a phone call or text message to that amount.
They can then opt to receive updates and information from Norcare if they wish and can also opt to give Norcare GiftAid if they are a tax-payer.
Norcare has signed up to the scheme which provides an easier, more convenient way for the public to donate money.
To donate to one of Norcare’s campaigns just text one of the following codes to 70070:
NORC11 – to donate to Norcare’s general client fund
VETS22 – to donate specifically to The Norcare Veterans’ Centre
TERE33 – to donate to the new build of women’s refuge Terentia House
